Skype is practically useless for non PC terminated calls, i.e. calls tonormal phones. For PC to PC it's fine. For internet-routed calls to
normal phones you need to go with a SIP service as provided by e.g.

Irish providers are being set up, but are more expensive for home users for the moment."
